Worlds & Travel

The Overworld is where most players build, trade and explore. The Nether, the End, new structures and seasonal content open up as the community grows the Magnolia Tree, so watch announcements for the current stage of the season.

/spawnReturn to the server spawn.
/rtpRandomly teleport into the wilderness, or open the RTP menu.
/backReturn to your previous location when available.
/warpList every warp, or open the warp menu.
/warp <name>Travel directly to a named warp.
/tpa <player>Ask to teleport to another player.
/tpahere <player>Ask a player to teleport to you.
/tpacceptAccept a pending teleport request.
/tpdenyDeny a pending teleport request.
/tpcancelWithdraw a teleport request you sent.
/tptoggleStop receiving teleport requests entirely.
/tpautoAuto-accept teleport requests instead of confirming each one.
/topTeleport to the highest safe block above you.
/bottomTeleport to the lowest safe block beneath you.
/worldSee the worlds you can travel to, and hop between them.
/rtp runs on 10 charges that refill over time, so it cannot be used to scan the map endlessly. How fast they come back scales with your rank, from three hours for a full refill down to fifteen minutes. Teleports have a short warmup and are cancelled if you move or take damage, and /back only remembers a spot once the teleport actually happened.

Claims & Homes

Claims protect the area you build in. Claiming early is strongly recommended, before you place storage, farms or anything valuable. Griefing, stealing and building in another player's area is never allowed, even on unclaimed land, but your claim is still your best first line of protection.

Claim your land

Use /claim at your location, then /claimpermissions to choose exactly who may build, use and access it. /help covers the full claim toolkit.

Build respectfully

Do not claim or build right beside another player's home without consent. Leave room for everyone to expand.

Trust with care

Only give claim access to players you genuinely know. Staff cannot always reverse mistakes caused by trusting someone.

Managing your claims

/claimCreate a claim from your golden shovel selection.
/claimlistView your claims and remaining claim blocks.
/claimblocksCheck your claim block balance.
/claimpermissionsOpen the menu to manage who may build, use and access the claim.

/claimextendPush a claim's edge out from where you are standing.
/claimreducePull a claim's edge back in.
/restrictclaimRestrict who may create child claims inside yours.
/unclaimallRemove every claim you own, after a confirmation.

Homes & storage

/sethome <name>Save your current location as a home.
/home <name>Teleport to a saved home.
/homesView your saved homes.
/delhome <name>Delete a saved home.
/enderchestOpen your ender chest from anywhere (also /ec).
/renamehome <old> <new>Rename one of your homes.

Vaults

Vaults are private storage you can reach from anywhere, and they do not care where your base is. Every vault is a full six rows, and how many you get scales with your rank, from 2 up to 18. Give each one its own icon so the list stays readable.

/vaultOpen your vault list (also /vaults, /pv).
/vault <number>Jump straight into one vault.
/vault icon <number>Set a vault's icon to the item in your hand.

Locks

Locks make a single container, door or display private, on top of whatever your claim already allows. Handy for a shared base where one chest should stay yours, and for anything you have built just past your claim edge. A locked block shows a particle highlight when you walk up to it.

/lockLock the block you are looking at (also /locks, /cl).
/lock trust <player>Let someone else use a locked block.
/lock untrust <player>Take that access back.
/lock infoSee who owns a lock and who is trusted on it.
/lock unlockRemove the lock.
Your number of homes, vaults and player warps scales with your rank - the Ranks chapter has the full table. Heading away for a while? Open a ticket, as claims left inactive for a long time may be reviewed.

Affinities

Affinities are Magnolia's playstyle system. Instead of forcing one survival path, each Affinity specialises in the kind of Minecraft you enjoy, with a signature active ability, base passives and drawbacks, and its own skill tree. Everyone starts as a Human with no bonuses. Open /affinities to view and choose your path. The in-game GUI is always the most accurate source for exact values.

Skill trees

On top of those base stats, every Affinity has a six-node skill tree: a root, three branches, an advanced node and a capstone. Nodes are tagged Economic, Mobility, Combat or Utility, and cost 1 to 5 skill points (14 SP to fully complete a tree). Here is the Arcanist tree as an example:

1 SPApprentice Focus, the root every other skill builds on
1 SPEfficient Brewing, faster brewing with fewer wasted ingredients
2 SPMana Well, cheaper enchanting and brewing services
2 SPSwift Casting, keep your momentum while casting
3 SPBattle Mage, weave offensive magic into melee
5 SPArchmage, the capstone and mastery of every discipline

Earning skill points & ranks

Play in your Affinity's style to earn Affinity XP (AXP). Banking enough AXP raises your Affinity rank, and each rank-up grants a skill point plus Petals, six skill points and 1,125 Petals across the full climb.

0 AXPBeginner, starting rank
1,000Apprentice, +1 skill point and 50 Petals
2,500Intermediate, +1 skill point and 75 Petals
5,000Skilled, +1 skill point and 100 Petals
9,000Expert, +1 skill point and 150 Petals
15,000Master, +1 skill point and 250 Petals
25,000Grandmaster, +1 skill point and 500 Petals
Affinity quests add bonus rewards on top: vanilla XP, random enchanted books, and occasionally Petals. Use /affinity skills for your tree, /affinity quests for quests, /affinity info for your active ability and passives, and /affinity reset to switch paths (first reset is free, then costs Petals).

The Magnolia Tree

The Magnolia Tree is the heart of the server's shared progression. Rather than unlocking everything at once, the community grows the Tree together, and as it develops it can open world access, server-wide buffs, events, structures, festivals and seasonal milestones for everyone.

/magnoliatreeView the Tree's current stage and contribution progress.
/magnoliatree commit <amount>Commit Petals toward the Tree to help it grow.
A farmer, a miner, a trader and an explorer all feed the same goal. Stages and rewards change as Magnolia updates, so check the Tree in-game for current requirements.

The Trellis

Where the Magnolia Tree is the whole server climbing together, the Trellis is your own climb, and it runs all the way to level 500. It hands you a small set of live tasks drawn from the systems Magnolia already has, and finishing them fills the level. There is no pass to buy and no season to miss.

How the climb works

Live tasks

You hold 3 tasks at a time, and you earn another slot roughly every 100 levels. Finish one and a fresh task takes its place straight away.

Roughly an hour a level

A level is budgeted at about an hour of play, and stays that way as you climb. Higher levels get wider, with more running at once, not longer.

Rerolls

You get 5 rerolls per level. If a task asks for something you cannot start yet, swap it out rather than sitting on it.

Where tasks come from

Tasks are drawn from six pools, so the climb rewards the whole server rather than one grind. Nothing on the Trellis asks you to leave the way you already like to play.

GameplayMining, farming, fighting, building and exploring.
LandClaims, homes, trust settings and the space you look after.
MarketShops, the Auction House, buy orders and trading.
SocialTeams, mail, messages and time spent with other players.
CosmeticTags, colours, wraps and the rest of the vanity systems.
ProgressionAffinities, quests, voting, crates and the Magnolia Tree.

Milestones & rewards

Ordinary levels advance the climb and nothing else, and the level number itself is on show in tab and above your head. The payouts sit at 36 milestone levels, dense early and rare late.

Levels 1-20A milestone every 2 levels, so the first arrives about two hours in.
Levels 21-50A milestone every 5 levels.
Levels 51-150A milestone every 10 levels.
Levels 151-300A milestone every 25 levels.
Levels 301-500A milestone every 50 levels, pure prestige territory.

Milestones pay Dollars, Petals and vanilla XP, and hand out things like crate keys, claim blocks, chat tags, chat colours, safari nets, sell & condense & smelt wands, flight time and boosters. Reaching a milestone from level 50 upward is announced to the server.

/trellisOpen your Trellis: current level, live tasks and progress.
/trellis statusA quick text summary of where you are.
/trellis activateTake up a task that is waiting on you.
Some tasks are built on actions that are free and instant, like setting a tag or reading mail. Those are paced rather than counted on sight, so spamming them does not fill a task faster. Play normally and they fill on their own.

Economy & Shops

Magnolia runs on two currencies. Dollars are the everyday economy currency for trading, shops and the Auction House. Petals are a special progression currency earned through gameplay, the Tree, quests, ranks and rewards, and spent on exclusive items and cosmetics.

The shopping district, reached through the warp menu, is the main place to visit player-made stores. The Auction House lets you buy and sell even while other players are offline, and your own player warps help people find your shop or build.

Money & Petals

/balCheck your Dollar balance (also /balance).
/pay <player> <amount>Send Dollars to another player.
/petalsCheck your Petal balance.
/petalspay <player> <amount>Send Petals to another player.
/transactionsRead your full money and Petal history, so a payment is never someone's word against yours.
/baltopSee the wealthiest players on the server.
Large payments ask you to confirm before they send. /payconfirm switches that prompt on or off, and /paytoggle stops other players sending you money at all.

Shops & selling

/shopOpen the server shop, or jump to a category page.
/sellSell the item in your hand (/sell all sells everything sellable).
/sellguiOpen a window and drop items in to sell them.
/ahBrowse the Auction House (also /auction).
/ah sell <price> [amount]List the item in your hand on the Auction House.
/ordersOpen the buy-order marketplace to buy or fulfil requests.
/playershopCreate and manage chest shops (also /pshop).
/districtBrowse and rent a plot in the shopping districts.
/worthCheck what an item is worth before hauling it anywhere (also /value).
/buyBuy straight from the server shop by name.
/trade <player>Open a face-to-face trade window for items and currency, with both sides confirming.
/alertsWatch an item and get pinged the moment one is auctioned or ordered.

Running a shop

There are three ways to sell, and they stack. Chest shops (/playershop) turn a container into a shop with a floating price display and a live stock count, and can buy, sell or trade. The shopping district rents you a boxed plot with a set number of shop slots, weekly rent and member access you control. Buy orders (/orders) work the other way around: post what you want and what you will pay, and let other players fill it, in part or in full, while you are offline. Anything you have not collected waits in your stash.

/alerts ties it together - set a watch on an item and the server tells you when one appears on the Auction House or when someone posts an order for it.

Player warps

/pwBrowse player warps to find shops and builds.
/pw createCreate a player warp at your location.
/pwRate, favourite and filter warps by category to find the shop you actually want.
The economy is player-driven: gather, trade, run a shop and set up a player warp. Price fairly, describe items honestly, and never scam. The number of player warps and Auction House listings you can hold grows with your rank.

Teams & PvP

Teams are for players who want to build, organise and play together, with their own members, alliances, roles, homes, spawn and private chat.

/team create <name>Create a team.
/team invite <player>Invite a player to your team.
/team join <team>Accept a team invitation.
/team leaveLeave your current team.
/team sethome <name>Set a shared team home.
/team home <name>Teleport to a team home, or list them.
/team ally <team>Request or accept an alliance.
/team chatToggle private team chat.
/team rolesCustomise your team's roles and their permissions.
/team listBrowse every team on the server.
/tc <message>Send one line to team chat without toggling (also /tchat).
/ac <message>Talk to every team you are allied with (also /allychat).
/team enderchestOpen the team's shared ender chest.

Team homes and team size both scale with rank, from 3 homes and 12 members up to 15 homes and 25 members.

Fighting fair

/pvpToggle whether you can be fought at all (also /togglepvp).
Combat tagLanding or taking a hit tags you for a short while. Logging out tagged is treated as a loss, and elytras are grounded while the tag is live.
OutpostsContested points anyone can capture. Holding one grants a booster to the capturing player or team, and a bigger team captures faster.
PvP is opt-in. Toggle your own status with /pvp, and fight at the designated arena via /warp pvp. Do not lure players into traps, attack people who have not agreed to PvP, or turn a land or shop dispute into harassment.

Crates & Voting

Crates reward cosmetic and useful items, and never give an unfair gameplay advantage. Visit the crate area with /warp crates, then use your keys.

Tulip Crate

Wearable cosmetics like wings, hats, backpacks, and more to give your character a unique look!

Rose Crate

Decorative cosmetics like plushies and decoration to spice up your builds!

Magnolia Crate

A seasonal, exclusive armour set with enchantments!

Vote Crate

Earned purely by voting. Every vote pays 5 Petals and one Vote Key, with no purchase anywhere in sight.

Each crate stands in the crate area with a hologram over it. Left-click the crate to preview everything inside it, and right-click to spend a key and pick your reward.

Using crates & kits

/crate open <crate>Open a crate when you hold a matching key.
/crate preview <crate>Preview the rewards inside a crate.
/kitsOpen the kits menu.
/kit <name>Claim a kit you have access to.
/voteShow the current voting links and your progress.
/kitpreview <kit>Look through a kit before you spend its cooldown.
Vote partiesEvery 200 votes across the network sets off a party: 100 Petals for everyone online, plus a crate key drawn between Rose, Tulip and, rarely, Magnolia.

Boosters & chat games

Boosters are timed multipliers that can run for one player, one team or the whole server - sell, XP, speed and damage. A boss bar tells you which are live and how long is left, and you can hide it in /settings if you would rather not see it.

Chat games fire off in public chat now and then - be first to answer and the reward is yours. /chatgames toggle opts you out.

Voting is the easiest free way to support Magnolia, and it helps new players find the server. Use /vote for the current links and rewards.

Cosmetics & Customisation

Magnolia has a deep cosmetic layer and none of it touches combat, resources or progression. Everything here is look-and-feel: how you appear in chat, above your head, in the world, and what you can decorate your base with. Most of it is earned through crates, voting, the Trellis and events, and the rest is on the store.

How you appear in chat

/chatcolor47 chat colours, from the 16 classics to gradients like Sunset, Sakura, Aurora and Magnolia, plus Rainbow and a signature colour for each of the six ranks (also /color, /cc).
/tag14 chat tags that sit beside your name, including Lucky, Rainbow, Whimsy, Toadstool, Sprout, Bloom and Fawn.
/nickSet a nickname. /realname <nick> finds the account behind one.
[item]Type [item] or [i] in chat to show off what you are holding, hover included. Shulker boxes open up so people can see inside.
[inv]Type [inv] to drop a clickable snapshot of your whole inventory into chat.
:emoji:Write , :star:, :coin:, :pick:, :sword: or any item name to render it as a sprite, in chat, on signs, in books and on item names.

How you appear in the world

/cosmetics47 wearable accessories - wings, backpacks, cloaks, baskets and hats - worn on your back or head and visible to everyone.
/wrapsGive netherite armour and elytras a different look, or make a piece invisible. Only usable where you cannot be fought, and it never changes what the armour does.
/glowOutline yourself in a colour, including 12 animated effects like Candy, Tropical, Twilight, Zebra and Cherry Cola.
/nametagToggle the floating nametags above other players.

Wearable cosmetics have a fashion mannequin at spawn: it wears the piece on your own skin so you can see how a set actually looks on you before committing to it.

Decorating your base

FurnitureOver 100 placeable pieces rendered as real models. Right-click a face to place, right-click again to sit on the ones with seats, sneak-right-click to rotate, and break it to get the item back. Placed furniture survives restarts.
Plushies44 collectable plushies - gnomes, fairies, elves, a pegasus, a centaur and more - placed like any other decoration.
/headsA head database with 10 categories (alphabet, animals, blocks, decoration, food & drinks, humans, humanoid, monsters, plants, miscellaneous), plus /heads search and a favourites list (also /hdb).
/skull [player]Get any player's head (also /head).
/armorstandPose and scale armour stands from a menu instead of fighting with commands (also /as).
Item framesShift-right-click any item frame to make the frame itself invisible, leaving only what is inside it.
/rename, /loreRename an item or edit its lore. Purely cosmetic - it never changes what the item does.

Poses & pets

/sitSit down where you are - or on another player's shoulders, if they let you.
/poseOpen the pose menu: sit, crawl and lay.
PetsName and resize the animals you have tamed.
/transferpet <player>Give the pet you are looking at to someone standing nearby (also /givepet).
/petownerCheck who owns the animal you are looking at (also /whosepet).
Nearly all of this is drawn by the server resource pack, so keep it enabled or wearables, furniture, plushies and emoji sprites will not render for you. Bedrock players get the same content through the Bedrock display layer.

Tools & Quality of Life

A lot of Magnolia is small comforts. None of this is required to play, but most of it saves you a walk, a click or an argument.

Make the server yours

/settings opens your personal preferences, and almost every one of them is open to everybody. From there you can turn off other players' chat, join and leave messages, death messages, chat waves and welcome messages; silence notification sounds, mention pings, teleport sounds and teleport request sounds; hide the booster boss bar, outpost broadcasts, shop holograms and floating shop items; lock the item in your hand so it cannot be dropped; stop hostile mobs spawning near you; and skip the crate confirmation prompt if you would rather just open.

/settingsOpen your personal settings (also /preferences).
/chattoggleShow or hide public chat (also /chaton, /chatoff).
/msgtoggleStop receiving private messages.
/tptoggleStop receiving teleport requests.
/tpautoAuto-accept teleport requests from anyone you are happy to have drop in.
/sbToggle the sidebar scoreboard.
/nametagToggle nametags above other players.
/langSee which language you are being served, and which ones exist.
/afkMark yourself away, so tab and your nametag say so.
/resourcepackRe-send yourself the server resource pack if it failed to load (also /rp).

See further

/viewdistance renders chunks past your client's own limit, so the view from a mountain is worth climbing for. Your ceiling scales with your rank, from 10 chunks up to 32. Use /vd max for everything your rank allows, /vd set <n> to pick a number, and /vd off if your machine would rather not.

Handy tools

/treefellerSneak and break the bottom log to fell a whole tree at once, leaves included. Toggle it with /tf.
Sell wandRight-click a container to sell everything inside it at once, at a bonus multiplier.
Condense wandCompress a container's ingots, nuggets and gems into blocks in one click.
Smelt wandSmelt a container full of ores without building a furnace array.
Safari netCapture a mob, carry it, and release it where you want it. Single-use and reusable nets both exist, and both keep the animal exactly as it was.
/condenseCompress the ingots and gems in your own inventory (also /compact, /blocks).
/disposalOpen a bin you can throw anything into (also /trash).
/recipe <item>Look up how something is crafted.
/worthCheck what an item sells for before you haul it to a shop (also /value).

Voice chat

Magnolia runs its own proximity voice chat, compatible with both Simple Voice Chat and Plasmo Voice. Install either client mod and you can talk to players within about 48 blocks, whisper at 24, and make private groups. It is entirely optional - nothing on the server requires a microphone.

Living in the world

SleepingOnly 10% of players need to be in bed to skip the night, and the sky accelerates rather than jumping, so nobody gets yanked out of a fight. Rain and thunder clear with it, and your phantom timer resets.
Ender pearlsPearls that would drop you inside a wall, a corner or a partial block are corrected instead of clipping you into the ground.
The dragonThe ender dragon can be respawned, but only once per cooldown, and the ritual is refused before it eats your crystals rather than after.
BedrockBedrock players join on the same world with the same features, and text displays, holograms and inline sprites are rendered a second way so they are readable there. /binfo reports your edition.
Died somewhere unfortunate? Staff can restore an inventory from an automatic backup, and block changes are logged and reversible. Open a ticket rather than trying to rebuild it yourself.

Ranks

Ranks help support the server while staying fair. They focus on cosmetic and quality-of-life perks rather than raw power. Magnolia is not pay-to-win, and ranks never give a combat, resource or progression advantage over free players. What they do give is room: more homes, more shops, more listings, more of the systems you already use.

Events & activities

Magnolia regularly hosts events, seasonal content, competitions and relaxed social nights, a great way to meet people and earn rewards outside of normal survival. Watch Discord, in-game announcements and the event calendar for what's coming up. You don't need to be the best builder or fighter to take part; events are made for the whole community.

Need a hand? Open a Discord ticket for account, purchase, report or claim issues, and include what happened, where, and how to repeat it. Found a bug? Report it instead of using it. Never be afraid to ask a small question.

Mods & Clients

Magnolia allows a wide range of performance, visual and quality-of-life mods, as long as they only use default features and never give an unfair advantage. Everything below is split into what is not allowed and what is allowed. Anything that automates gameplay, reveals hidden information or bypasses vanilla limits is banned. If a mod is not listed here and you are unsure, open a ticket before using it.

Disallowed Banned in every client
Using any of these, a hacked client or an exploit is treated as cheating, and can result in a ban even when it is not obvious in the moment. When in doubt, ask first.
